Online

21 Apr 16 Jun

In support and appreciation of the production of inventions and institutional innovations for the benefit of enterprises, seminars involving universities, institutes and research centres were organised in the 17 OAPI member countries in three phases.

On 21 April 2022, the first phase was held simultaneously in five countries (Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal, and Togo). The second round followed on 2 June 2022 in another six countries (Comores, Gabon, Guinea, Mali, Central African Republic, and Republic of Congo) and the final, third session took place on 16 June 2022.

The objective of these seminars is to analyse the ecosystem of innovation platforms in OAPI member countries, and to propose the establishment of more  innovation platforms in the OAPI region.

The seminars were conducted by a team from AfrIPI, supported by OAPI and its members. On the occasion of the celebration of the African Day for Technology and Intellectual Property, each OAPI member will report on the progress of the creation of a chosen platform.

This Activity will continue in AWP3.
